Remember The Birds, 2020, sound installation, variable dimensions

A sound installation within an empty birdcage floating in the space above books lying open on the floor, all of them having to do with birds. From inside the cage, the sound of someone turning the pages of the books, as if the birds were flying free from the pages of books. The subjects of the installation itself, i.e. the birds, are virtually absent, but nevertheless constantly present, as are the invisible social and physical forces that determine our lives. Looking more closely at the books, one will find that their pages are turned to topics related to migration, reproduction, nutrition… This artwork thus refers to nature as a whole, including human nature.
