Éva Magyarósi’s art arises from the deepest intimacy, in which life is a sum of actions but even more so a narrative, the narrative of everyday life, of our joys, our hopes, our fears. Her stories follow the upheavals of consciousness by combining realistic, symbolic, imaginary and dreamlike imagery. She evokes the universality of human consciousness, and her work therefore pertains to us all.
Last Days of Qana questions the status of humanity at a time of when we face the challenges of climate change and the continued question of women’s rights, while we are also facing the worst crisis of meaning in the history of humanity.
